Newborn is a love song about loving someone so much that you want to have a child with them and then having a child with them and the dreams and aspirations you have for that child as you hold them for the first time. The lyrics are inspired by observations of Rien and his wife's relationship, the news of his new arrival and of course by Jim's experiences of the birth of his two kids.
